I have always loved to read. “Bookworm” may even be an understatement. But when I discovered Georgette Heyer in high school, my love of reading exploded. Ms. Heyer’s books were not only entertaining, witty, and smart, but they saved me from the awkward, unromantic teenage years. To this day, my favorite books all have romance in them.
Although I spent a good deal of my time at Brigham Young University on the ballroom dance team, I did manage to get a BA in History and English before going on to get a Juris Doctorate. After graduation, I decided her first priority was to be a mom — a career I’ve stuck with and loved.
In between cleaning, laundry, and homework, I write. Just like with reading, I want to get lost in a world, whether imaginary or historical.
I live just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah with my husband and four beautiful children.
Some of my favorite authors/books: The Thief series by Megan Whalen Turner, The Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima, Throne of Glass by Sara Mass, Finnikin of the Rock by Melina Marchetta, The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater, Harry Potter, The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgonery, Graceling by Kristin Cashore, anything (and everything) by Georgette Heyer, Lord of the Rings, Pride and Prejudice…and many more I’m not thinking of right this minute.

Great job on your website. I enjoy reading your reviews….although since I haven’t read Brisingr yet, I’m skipping that one! Actually I don’t have much time to read these days, but I do have a 45 minute commute to work and I’m an audiobook junkie! I listened to both Eragon and Eldest and I’m going to buy Brisinger audiobook soon!
I was wondering if you have read the George RR Martin series, A Song Of Ice And Fire? I listened to them and thought they were great…very rough in many respects, but the characters are wonderful. If you’re a bit squeamish I’d stay away from them. They have stark (no pun intended) depictions of murder, sex, war, etc, which usually puts me off, but the characters are so wonderfully done.

I’ll forgive you for loving the Twilight series; they are a terrible set of books in my opinion.
